Electroplated diamond grinding wheel is a type of grinding wheel that has a sharp working surface with nickel diamond composite coating, which is formed by fixing diamond grains onto the substrate by steps such as sanding, thickening and etc.

Features of Electroplated Grinding Wheels
During the formation process of the diamond layer, the diamond grains are not affected by high temperature and thermal deformation, the diamond performance is well maintained.
Compared with metal, vitrified and resin bond grinding wheels, electroplated diamond grinding wheels have a higher exposed height of diamond grains, which is good for the distribution of cutting fluid in the gaps and can prevent debris from blocking the surface of the grinding wheel, ensuring high cutting and grinding performance.
The diamond concentration on the surface of the grinding wheel is high, which increases the cut amount of material and reduces friction in the contact area, reducing cutting force and cutting temperature.
It can produce various special-shaped diamond grinding wheels, as well as other diamond tools, diamond grinding heads, and diamond dressing rollers.
Production Technology
Electroplated diamond grinding wheel is made by electrochemical method. The working layer of the grinding wheel contains diamond grains which are bonded to the substrate by metal binder.
Firstly, the thickness of deposited metal binder is 20% of the height of the diamond abrasive(sanding), and then the diamond grains is further bonded(thickened) with the metal binder, with a thickness of approximately 2/3 of the grains height.
