Diamond Cut Off Wheel for Optical Glass

There are resin and metal bond diamond cut off wheels. Metal bond diamond cut off wheel has long life and high cutting efficiency.

According to the needs of customers, we produce diamond cut off wheels with different grain sizes for optical glass, which can be suitable for cutting optical glass with different sizes and materials. It is sharp, no chip, and high durability. Diamond Milling Wheel For Optic Glass

Diamond milling wheel is used in the front stage of optical glass processing for rough grinding.

It is divided into flat and spherical diamond milling wheel.

The diameter of flat diamond milling wheel is usually more than 100mm, while that of spherical diamond milling wheel is less than 100mm.

The grain size is 60#-180#, and usually choose bronze bond diamond milling wheel

Diamond Pellets for Optical Glass

Diamond pellet is attached to the mold in a certain arrangement( concentric, spiral, triangular, etc.). It is used for rough grinding and polishing optical glass to obtain the required surface roughness, surface precision( aperture) before polishing, and dimensional accuracy( center thickness).

There are metal bond and resin bond diamond pellet.

Diamond super finish pellet is mainly used for finish machining in the later stage of polishing. Bronze, iron-based, nickel-based, or cobalt-based bonding agents are used for diamond finish pellet, while resin bonding agent is used for diamond super finish pellet.

Metal bond diamond pellet has good wear resistance and can withstand large grinding load, but with not good self sharpening performance.

Resin bond diamond pellet for optical glass has good surface roughness, high sharpness and poor wear resistance.

Diamond polishing pellet can improve the surface roughness for optics. It is the resin bond. Cerium oxide and diamond powder are usually used as abrasives.

Diamond Edge Grinding Wheel for Optic Glass

Diamond edge grinding wheel is used for process the outer edge of optical elements. There are electroplated nickel based bond and sintered bronze bond. The grain size is 230/270-M28/20.
