Coated superabrasives tools refer to the abrasive( diamond or CBN) is bonded to the flexible substrate by bonding agent.
There are mainly abrasive belts, spiral bands, flap discs, polishing pads, hand pads, grinding discs, polishing papers. There are resin bond abrasive belt and electroplated abrasive belt according to manufacturing technology.
There are two main types of superhard abrasives：Diamond and CBN
Diamond coated abrasives are widely used for polishing hard and brittle materials such as stone, building materials, glass, special ceramics, monocrystalline silicon, polycrystalline silicon, gemstones, silicon aluminum alloys, tungsten carbide, etc. The diamond abrasive belts are widely used in the thermal spraying industry.
CBN coated abrasives are mainly used for grinding black metals, such as alloy steel, heat-resistant steel( titanium alloy, nickel based alloy, cobalt based alloy), stainless steel, and alloy steel with high hardness). They are also can be used for processing complex surface( gear cutters, high-precision gears, blades).

Structure of Superabrasive Coated Tools
The superhard coated abrasive tool is composed of substrate, superhard abrasive, and bonding agent, and the arrangement form of abrasive must follow certain rules.
Superhard abrasives: diamond and CBN
Resin bond and metal electroplated technology. The resin superhard abrasive belt is made by mixing bonding agent and abrasives, and is scraped through dispensing or prepared graphic templates. The electroplated technology is made by electrodeposition.
