As a supplement to diamond abrasive belts, CBN sanding belts have advantages in grinding ferrous metals.
CBN sanding belt is a kind of coated grinding tools. The grinding unit on the surface of the sanding belt is composed of individual CBN grains, and the pattern of the grinding unit has a certain influence on the grinding performance.
However, it is different from the grinding conditions of CBN grinding wheels: in most cases, if there is sufficient coolant, diamond abrasive belts can also grind ferrous metals, so the scope of CBN abrasive belts is relatively small.
Application of CBN Sanding Belts
CBN sanding belt has good thermal stability and excellent chemical inertness for iron-based metals and other alloy tools.

Feature of CBN Belts
- Low temperature, less cracks and burns, good surface quality of the workpiece
- When grinding titanium alloy, high grinding ration, low grinding temperature, much higher grinding ratio than the conventional abrasives
- When grinding heat-resistant steel, stainless steel, and high hardness alloys, the service life is long and the surface accuracy of the workpiece is high.
